Sean Sumner, CTRS, MS-APA
FORT WAYNE
Sean is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo's Recreational Therapy program in May of 2012. He has completed multiple clinical rotations that encompassed different populations during undergraduate studies. In the summer of 2012, he completed an internship at Kent Healthcare Center involving long-term care patients with dementia and physical disabilities. In the fall of 2012, he enrolled at Slippery Rock University to obtain a master’s in Adapted Physical Activity. He worked as a graduate assistant and ran a health promotion program for youth with autism. After working a few years in the field, Sean started F.L.O.W. Recreation in 2016, gaining experience as a CTRS helping clients with an array of disabilities. He currently coaches basketball for Allen County Special Olympics and his life motto is "If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.”

Kody Elzinga, CTRS
SOUTH BEND
Kody graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Central Michigan University in 2014. His degree is in Recreational Therapy and he has worked in the field for the last 8 years on both the West Coast and in the Mid-West.
While at Central Michigan, Kody worked with individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Adaptive Recreational Needs. Upon graduation, he worked on the Indiana waiver program for 2 years as well as a recreational therapist in schools for 5 years, teaching kids how to cope with their emotions, trauma, and frustrations through recreation.
In his free time, Kody enjoys living an active lifestyle, especially in the outdoors, fishing, and hiking. He also loves to share his passion for adventure with his clients.

Tyler Neimeyer, MS, CTRS
INDIANAPOLIS
Tyler received his Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Indiana University, where he has served as a Visiting Lecturer, teaching courses in the Department of Wellness Design. A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist since 2018, Tyler has worked with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders since 2014 and is committed to equal access to recreational, leisure, and activity-based therapy for all populations. His clinical approach centers around naturalistic, client-centered service in which disability is a social construct and recreational therapy is leveraged to support positive therapeutic outcomes and improved quality of life. In his free time, Tyler enjoys CrossFit, disc golf, and hanging out with his dog Raisin.

Dr. Jen Piatt, PhD, CTRS
BLOOMINGTON
Dr. Jennifer Piatt, CTRS, has worked as a recreational therapist for over 25 years providing community-based rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities. She started her career with ARC in Northern California and has also worked in physical medicine and rehabilitation, long-term care, adaptive sports camps, and mental health services. She was instrumental in launching the first wheelchair basketball program at Indiana University in 2017 and has also served on the Zappos Adaptive Fashion Advisory Board. She is currently working towards her certification in sexuality education.

Sydney Rapley CTRS
Sydney is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and received her bachelors degree in Recreational Therapy from Indiana University Bloomington in 2015. She completed her internship in 2015 at Craig Hospital, an inpatient and outpatient SCI and TBI rehabilitation center, in Denver, Colorado. She then began her clinical experience working at Craig on both Spinal Cord and Brain Injury teams, as well as developing their evening and weekend program and helping start their now successful adaptive gaming program. After 5 years, she relocated back home to Lafayette, Indiana where she was introduced the Medicaid waiver program. She has been working in the home and community setting for the past 4 years.
