Behavior Support Services (BSS)
At F.L.O.W. Recreation LLC, we provide Behavior Support services through the Indiana Medicaid Waiver, helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, self-directed lives.
Our approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and person-centered, recognizing that behavior is a form of communication. We focus on understanding the whole person and building skills that support emotional well-being, independence, and community inclusion.
We collaborate with individuals, families, and support teams to create personalized plans that promote growth across home, community, and daily life.
Empowering Positive Change Through Individualized Support
At F.L.O.W. Recreation, we offer flexible, individualized services through the FS and CIH Waivers, supporting independence, stability, and belonging.
Our Services Include:
-
Consultation services provide ongoing guidance for individuals who
are stable but benefit from professional support. This may include reviewing current
strategies, offering recommendations, and ensuring continued progress without the
need for a formal Behavior Support Plan.
-
The FBA is a comprehensive process used to understand the “why” behind behavior. We examine patterns, triggers, environmental factors, and unmet needs, while also considering trauma history and lived experiences.
This assessment serves as the foundation for developing effective, individualized supports.
-
Behavior Support Plans are structured, individualized plans designed to address behaviors that impact health, safety, or daily functioning.
BSPs include proactive strategies, skill-building interventions, and clear guidance for caregivers and team members. All plans are developed in alignment with state requirements and best practices.
-
These one-on-one sessions focus on building practical skills that support independence and well-being. Areas of focus may include emotional regulation, communication, coping strategies, self-advocacy, and daily living skills.
Sessions are tailored to each individual and implemented across the home, community, or office settings.
-
We provide hands-on training and coaching for families, caregivers, and support teams to ensure consistency and confidence in implementing strategies.
This includes in-person or virtual training, ongoing collaboration, team meetings, and progress monitoring to keep supports effective and aligned.
-
For individuals with more complex needs or plans involving restrictive interventions, clinical supervision provides additional oversight. This ensures all strategies are implemented safely, ethically, and effectively, while offering continued guidance to the support team.
